Most of the courses Sara offers are in sculpture. Unlike a craft such as basketry, which follow a prescribed method, in these courses you will learn Sara’s unique style of willow sculpture. She will guide you through her own unique techniques for developing layers of shape & form through a combination of binding, stitching and weaving processes.
One, two and half day courses run throughout the year which are suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced artists and crafters.
An informal and relaxed atmosphere in a picturesque setting, students can spend an enjoyable time creating their very own willow sculpture. Each workshop is carefully designed for small exclusive groups to ensure maximum individual attention.
Armatures and materials are prepared and supplied. Plenty of teas/coffees and refreshments are included as well as a vegetarian lunch for full day and two day courses.

Courses in 2025 remain small and exclusive in order to deliver personalised, tailored instruction. When groups are kept small the viability of a course is fragile so we we urge you to read our cancellation policy before booking as last minute cancellations can be costly for us. I have considered taking the full cost of courses upfront in order to fully cover losses when last minute cancellations occur but I have decided to maintain the booking fee system to help people spread the cost.
